Some people confuse this model with cheaper other model releases that sell around $1200 and look similar, rest assured this is a much earlier model and was the top luxury model offered for this line in 1960. Others are "Gold Capped" or "Gold Filled" and sell for $900 to $1200. Be sure to look for the Swiss karat stamps and case serial number on the back panel, with the head stamp in the center. The bezel where the strap meets also has the Swiss 18k head stamp showing this watch is 18k solid gold.
